To me, the Peugeot 205 is much more than just a car.

It is a car full of memories, character and history. A car that deserves to be maintained, restored and, above all, kept on the road for many years to come.

That passion is where EMPA Autoparts began.

In the Netherlands, I develop and manufacture parts mainly for the restoration of the Peugeot 205. Quite often, it starts with a very simple problem: a part is rusted, broken, impossible to find or simply no longer available.

Instead of accepting that such a part has disappeared, I try to find a solution.

Parts made by an enthusiast, for enthusiasts

Some parts are small.

A bracket, support, clip or mounting point that almost nobody notices… until the day you need it.

Other parts are larger body or restoration components needed to save a 205 from corrosion and age.

That is exactly what I enjoy about this work.

Finding a part that has almost disappeared, understanding how it was originally made and fitted, and then trying to make it available again for Peugeot 205 owners.

Many EMPA products have been created in exactly this way: directly from a problem discovered during a restoration.

Made in the Netherlands

EMPA parts are developed and produced with great care in the Netherlands.

I prefer making parts whose development and quality I can follow myself rather than offering anonymous mass-produced products.

Some parts are made by hand. Others require cutting, bending, pressing, welding or special surface treatment.

But the principle always remains the same:

to make a part that I would be happy to fit to my own car.

Attention to the small details

During a restoration, it is often the small details that make the difference.

A small bracket in the wrong position, a missing mounting point or a piece of bodywork that is no longer available can stop an entire project.

That is why I also focus on the parts that larger manufacturers are no longer interested in producing.

Even if only one old and rusty original part remains, it can sometimes become the starting point for making a new one.

And quite often, a new EMPA product begins with a simple message from an enthusiast:

“Arie, can you reproduce this part?”

That is exactly what makes this work interesting.

A special connection with France

The Peugeot 205 is, of course, French, so it is no surprise that many of the enthusiasts I meet are based in France.

I enjoy visiting events and meetings with my van full of parts.

For me, these trips are about much more than selling.

They are a chance to meet the people behind the orders, see their cars, talk about restorations, exchange ideas and sometimes even discover the next part that needs to be reproduced.

A fully restored GTI, a Rallye, a CTI, a Junior that has been cherished for years, or simply a 205 that refuses to retire: every car has its own story.

And that is exactly what keeps the Peugeot 205 community alive.

Behind EMPA, there is a person

EMPA Autoparts is not a large anonymous platform.

When you ask a question, look for a particular part or place an order, you are dealing with someone who knows these cars and is genuinely interested in your project.

I would rather take the time to think along with a customer than simply sell a part that turns out not to be useful.

And if a certain part no longer exists, I at least want to find out whether it can be made again.

Keeping Peugeot 205s on the road

Every year, original parts become harder to find.

Some disappear completely.

At the same time, more and more Peugeot 205s are being restored and preserved as the classic cars they have now become.

That is where I want EMPA Autoparts to make a contribution.

Not by replacing the history of the Peugeot 205, but by making the parts needed to continue that history.
